Part 2 of a Three Part Interview with Sigurd Olson:
George drove up to Ely, Minnesota with his daughter Martha, and spent time talking to Sigurd about the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The result was a three-part series in the Capital Times. Just over a year after the series appeared Sigurd’s efforts were rewarded when Jimmy Carter signed the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) Act on October 21, 1978.
